Creating a Haven for Wildlife
We have worked with Darwen Vale High School, in Blackburn and Darwen and Carr High School, Kirkham several times this year. We're really excited to be offered the opportunity to work with students and lead staff as the schools look toward enriching habitat value across their school grounds as well as engaging with curriculum teaching.
WildAid Co-ordinator Charlie Pass said: ' We're very pleased to be involved working with both schools. It is thoroughly refreshing that the schools see the benefits of their students engagement with outreach partners. Being able to work together for the benefit of the wildlife across school grounds and the chance to broaden knowledge and feelings about the natural world is such a positive outcome. We are really looking forward to working with the schools'.
Our work with each of the schools is due to start this Autumn. As the projects develop we will be able to bring you exciting news and hopefully potential opportunities for our supporters to become involved.
"It's all about encouraging people to participate and learn about the natural world through hands on discovery."
